Who’s New?

Introducing: Discover Plumbing

Jeff VanPamel is a third-generation master plumber and started Discover Plumbing in 2009. He currently owns two plumbing companies: one in St. Louis, MO and Discover Plumbing in Shelby Township, Michigan. They currently have 28 employees, with a third of them being either Master Plumbers or high-level Journeymen and boast a fleet of 18 service trucks.

VanPamel grew Discover Plumbing through hard work and the values instilled in him by his grandfather and my father which have become his company’s core values:

Jeff works with Armando Juarez, an experienced, senior business consultant from a nationwide consulting firm, to take his business to the next level by streamlining their processes, implementing better systems and controls in order to expand our operations and improve their quality and service. He credits Armando for recommending that they join ABC to engage with key players in the construction industry and team up on projects that require a high level of quality, safety and value.

Discover Plumbing would like to get to know our member general contractors, builders and developers to let them get better acquainted with the plumbing construction services they offer. They currently have work capacity and have an impeccable record of excellence in workmanship and outstanding references from their GC’s and developers.

We are excited to welcome them to the ABC family of members and build a bright future together!

East or West ABC SEMI Members Have Your Lighting Needs Covered

Let Interactive Energies and Stellux Light Up Your Life, Eh…Job

So much of a project takes place well before a shovel ever breaks ground—designing and planning can often make the difference between a profit or a loss on a project. Whether your project is on the west side or the east side, having your lighting needs mapped out in advance is something that new ABC members Interactive Energies Group of Madison Heights, and Stellux Management of Wixom have down to a science.

Most industrial/commercial projects being undertaken today require energy efficiency incorporated into their plan. For many general contractors it is a value proposition—it reduces bills and reduces pollution. By using LED lighting design solutions both these companies can help customers and contractors reduce their energy output by an average of 60% for a project. Creating long-term savings for customers developing industrial and commercial properties.

“Our extensive knowledge of rebates, incentives, and federal tax credits are applied to your project, getting you back every dollar our clients deserve,” said Michael Dewan, president of Stellux Management LLC. “We also handle the entire retrofitting process for contractors. Taking care of product ordering, to installation, to applying for rebates, we make sure to work with our clients schedule to provide them with the best lighting experience possible.”

According to Dayne Haight, Principal owner of Interactive Energies Group, considers value engineering a top component in a strong energy solution. That is why Interactive Energies provides product procurement with thousands of options lowering the capital cost for incorporating energy efficient solutions into their client’s projects.

“It is not a one-size fits all world. Design on these projects often calls for a variety of lighting solutions to meet our demanding customer’s needs,” said Haight. “One thing that remains consistent is our dedication to providing very personal service to our clients—often I will personally go to inspect a project myself to make sure the quality of our service matches or exceeds the products we recommend. We pride ourselves on making our customers feel like they are our top priority, because they are.”

Interactive Energies works tirelessly to make sure the energy output on their designs will in turn lower your customers monthly energy costs at an average of 50% and help reduce the costs of maintenance in their projects.

“We did the full lighting solution for the PentaCentre in Troy, MI converting over the facilities’ older lighting over to LED achieving over $58,600.00 in annual energy savings and estimated to receive over $31,900.00 from DTE’s Energy Rebate Program,” said Haight. “Through innovative controlled LED technology, we able to provide them a solution that pays for itself in less than two years.”

In order to simplify the lighting design process for customers, Stellux designed their own app to aide contractors in creating their own lighting designs and determine the need for their projects.

“We produced our own proprietary software and turned it into a revolutionary light counting app for other LED retrofitters,” said Dewan. “Our proprietary app allows us to collect lighting information and deliver a professional analysis on the spot. Our app also allows our customers to create RFQs, POs, and work orders. The beauty of the app is that it allows you to easily access our products and services through one simple interface.”

Stellux and Interactive Energies are certified partners with both DTE Energy and Consumers Energy.
