CB Asphalt Paving’s owner Craig Blankenship started with a truck, a hot box and a hunger for work at 17 years old. More than 20 years later, Blankenship and the CB Asphalt team grew to 90 strong and relocated to their office six years ago to accommodate
for the sheer volume of projects they’re working on.
“Let’s be honest, asphalt companies are one of the first to feel a slow down in the industry,” explained Blankenship. “If you have a leak in your roof, you’ll fix it. If you have a short in an outlet, you’ll fix it. If you have a hole in your parking lot, you’ll drive around it. But even in this economy, my team has continued to deliver to our customers so that I haven’t had to lay anyone off. I really think that speaks to our level of service and the impression my guys leave when they complete a project.”
